Time Management For Newcomers at the University

May 19th, 2008

You may face some of the following things being a first-year student:

• I am struck. It is too much.
• The campus is too big for finding the right way.
• Okay, I entered this university finally. What next?

For effective time management and more confidence we may offer you the following:

• Learn to prioritize.
• Try to set objectives.

It is important for better concentration on achievement of the end goals. Make a list for many objectives to be easier to gain step by step.

• Use spare time constructively. For example when having free minutes between classes you may revise the undone assignments just instead of wasting time for nothing.
• Time management requires the consequent fulfillment of set objectives. Don’t plan just in paper but put efforts, available methods for execution of assignments. It is the main key for effective time planning.

Stress and frustration become more perspective in the attempt to leave the undone till tomorrow. Such a scheme doesn’t lead to much progress.

Therefore, the best way of action is taking use of that little time you really have.

Plan a time management to indicate priorities, and to prevent stress from trying to finish everything at once.
