Capella University was established in1993 and received its accreditation in 1997. There appeared some new schools later: Education, Technology, Human Sciences, Business, and Psychology. It centers in Minneapolis, Minnesota and presents 650 courses dealing with 70 specializations. The university counts 650 faculty members, over 550 personnel and administrative staff with the enrollment of 13,000 learners.

Capella has its own portal for e-learning under the name of iGuide. Enrolled students may use an access to various courses and texts giving you the opportunity to enter the on-line community of learners. Thus the students browse on this site looking for online assignments or discussion forums. According to the rules the fulfilled assignments are submitted in zip files as well as Microsoft Word documents.

The Achilles heel of the college may be its administrative system that influences on the overall impression of the educational establishment.
